Kate,
Your new pic is beautiful! I had never heard of satsuma. I googled it because I couldn't tell from the pic if it was a pear or what. Ha Ha.

I'm not sure of the difference between satsumas, clementines, and mandarins either, but I have noticed that Brits tend to talk more about 'satsumas' and Americans about 'mandarins'!

Love the vibrant colors and the funky plate that the fruits are sitting on!

Thank you so much Rani! Yes, satsumas come highly recommended!

On a side-note, and unfortunately, the link in your signature, to your blog doesn't seem to be working.

See you in and out of the fish bowl!

@Dana, you made me laugh! Yes this photo is rather oversaturised... I'm not really sure what the difference between satsumas, mandarines and clementines is, but here's a Wikipedia-link to satsumas:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikan

@June, thank you! So glad that came across!

@Jacqueline, thank you and yes the gift is so beautifully wrapped that it makes up half of the present!

@Sandy, thank you kindly!

@Stephen, how beautifully written, it makes me happy if I can pass on those moments of beauty... thank you! And yes, I think it's time for some new Luminous icons, it's refreshing to make a visible fresh start on one's desktop sometimes!

Take care everyone and thanks so much for your comments!
