Trees and sky

5 Creative Minutes

Days in black and white. Grey tones. I remember a day, I remember the exact moment. I can recall the sound of my footsteps on the gravel, my gaze on the ground, walking through a park on my way to the subway, at a drab time of year, looking up, and all of a sudden my vision changed, I could see colour! It wasn’t until that very moment that I realised that my view of the world had been in black and white for more than a year. And as the moment unfolded, I saw dazzling shades of greys and browns and whites, that overwhelmed me with their sensational, luscious hues.

  1. Hi, Kate! It’s white, gray and nearly black days here too… It’s been dully and rainy for 3 weeks… I’m trying to still see the beauty ;o) Small comforts and learning to seen the colors in this dark season is key. Love your uplifting post… And thanks for visiting me again. I’m feeling better today. I have chronic fatigue (M.E.) so it brings an extra challenge to life. Sometimes I just have to slow down… And autumn is naturally a good time to go slow. Happy Days! :o)

  2. We had a couple of really dreary days this week but you have captured the multi colors and textures of black and grey beautifully.

Yes, it isn’t always easy to keep going when the weather keeps on being dreary for weeks and the sun doesn’t visit! But today, the sun is OUT for the first time in ages! The whole sky is blue!
