Grey Days
18 November 2009 Filed in: Journaling, Photography

Stairs with a scattering of autumn leaves.
Even grey days are packed with colour when you look more closely. The delicate moss on the branches of the oak tree and the blue tones in stone and asphalt. The sparkle of raindrops lingering on a leaf. A sprinkle of tiny yellow leaves and red berries seem almost startlingly bright!

Hello! Love this idea/project…cant wait to see more examples of your creative minutes….like you i seem to be spending far too much time on other things…. i am learning to focus but at the same time multitask (only this afternoon i was listening to a playback of a conference call and also folding up my new notecards and packaging them getting ready for the holidays!)
I also really love the ambiance your photos portray, the crispy blue/grey/silver of this one is very easy on the eye……have a lovely day Kate. :-)
Dear Kate, this is such a lovely reminder of such a beautiful sentiment that there’s colors in every gray day! Thanks for sharing this with us! Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you!
Thank you ladies! Love to hear about your multitasking, Louise!
In this project, I hope to work in tiny bits on my creative dreams, and not just generally be creative… We’ll see how it goes! Today I’m going to draw birds!
Kate, that’s so true! The days here seem very black and white at the moment…or maybe even just gray, and it’s good to remind oneself that there are pleasing bits of color hiding here and there.
Yes! So true Kate!! Love the noticing you do!
Hi Kate,
What a great reminder to look for color everywhere everyday. Take Care.
Yes, I count myself lucky when I have this ability. It isn’t there every day! :)
love that photo–the color splashed of the leaves on all that gray. ‘Tis the season of black and white and gray…sigh…
