Hi Kate, I just happened upon this post and had to comment. I also saw this movie with my mom! I thought it was brilliant, of course…and so did Mama. If I remember correctly, the whole afternoon was wonderful. And who can resist Stanely Tucci!

Jacqueline, Dana and Michele, I so hope you get the chance to see the film and would love to hear what you think of it!

Stephen, yes, I see what you mean, I think the story about Julia has a uniqueness about it, and it’s so joyous! I was interested in Julie too, but her story didn’t develop quite as much during the film. I suppose that is only natural as it was one year of her life, but a good 30 years in Julia’s… And yes Paul was brilliant too!

Edward, yes there are some of the original feel-good-films! Sounds like perfect Christmas films!

Dana, I’d love to read that article if it’s something online?

Wini, I laughed out loud in recognition when Julie got her first comment! Yes, it’s interesting to see a film about blogging and after the film I was so curious to find out what Julie is doing now, but I couldn’t find much.

Hi Kate, Great review…! I enjoyed the movie too & Meryl Streep was a joy to watch. After the movie, I was inspired to search for Julia Childs on youtube and I read parts of Julie’s blog too. I enjoyed both ladies’ stories. I liked the fact that Julie was a blogger, and think its amazing that she cooked all the recipes in one year. Bon Appetit! :)
