Easing into Change

notes and sketches

iPhone Photography: notes and sketches

Going with the fresh energy of spring. Allowing the process to unfold naturally, without pushing. I’m playing, learning new things, taking new approaches, thinking differently and being inspired by the sparkling light and the palette of spring. Bright blue, green, purple and pink. Like tiny Easter eggs wrapped in brightly coloured foil.

It’s the season of sprouting. Tiny buds break through frozen ground. Slowly and gently sending out shoots and buds. And while nothing much is visible here on the web site (except a few paragraphs of latin for testing purposes), behind the scenes, a new Marmalade Moon is coming into life.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes

snowdrops

iPhone Photography: Snowdrops

I’m standing in the middle of virtual removal boxes, tissue paper and bubble wrap. The freebies have just gone offline, and I’ll have some work ahead of me wrapping them all up, packing them and shipping them to their new, loving home at the friendly Iconfactory.

It’s time for some move-out/move-in cleaning. Time to bring purpose and life to vibrant, intuivive dreams and visions that were born in the darkness of winter. Spring is here, accompanied by fresh starts, visions and new directions.

In the meanwhile, you’ll probably notice the mess here. I’ll be giving Marmalade Moon a new structure. A new design. I’ll look into revisiting Headway and the Live Web Site Make Over project. My sketchbook is bursting with sketches for illustrations and graphics for the new Marmalade Moon. I hope you enjoy the ride!

Leap Day

Sun setting on the lake

iPhone photography: Sun setting on the lake

Today it’s Leap Day, the extra day, and I’m taking a big leap! Turning over a new leaf. Making Room for Change.

Last Week for Desktop Goodies

This is the last week: to get my free icons and wallpapers. I’m spring cleaning Marmalade Moon to make room for an exciting new change. It will mark the end of an era, and a fresh start for Marmalade Moon!

What Will Happen With The Desktop Art?

I’ve found a new home for the desktop art at the Iconfactory. It’ll take a while though, to wrap them all up, pack them up in boxes and move them over. So grab all the freebies you know you want now, before they get wrapped up in bubble wrap and shipped to their new destination.

Why Remove the Desktop Art?

I’m removing the desktop art to make room for new content. Renewal and growth. I’m pruning Marmalade Moon to make room for fresh shoots.

Good Morning 2012!

My diary 2012

My diary 2012

The year is new, fresh, almost untouched, like the crisp, white snow that didn’t fall this year. So far. I’ve been inaugurating my diary for 2012. The feeling of leather, paper, pen, ink. Birthdays. Holidays. Thoughts. Dreams. Travel plans? Not quite yet. And even though I have some ideas for what I’d like to do in 2012, I’m enjoying watching the new year unfold, listening to my possibilities, my dreams and ideas.

Although the light’s returning, it’s still dark and drab. Grey days. Not quite the right time for New Year’s resolutions, is it? Perhaps it isn’t surprising that most people have forgotten about the mango smoothies come the end of January, and put their jogging shoes in the wardrobe by the end of February (who can jog on ice anyway?).

I’ve been digging into my inner landscape with the Winter Shift, to connect deeply with my inner life. Intuition. And the funny thing is that I’ve been doing a lot of typical resolution things, but with ease… naturally… not planned… not forced. Not thinking of these changes as resolutions. And I’m a New Year’s resolution rebel! Interesting to observe.

How is your New Year unfolding so far?  Are you a New Year’s resolution rebel too, or do you find the commitment works well for you?
