Pebbles and Rose Petals

iPhone photography: red roses and pebbles

I fell in love with the white chalk pebbles scattered with red rose petals during my journey to Visby on Gotland, and took a whole series of pictures. And I developed a healthy obsession with taking photos of my feet!

And when I returned home, I couldn’t let go of that simple beauty, the sound of pebbles crunching under my feet, the shadows, the rose petals…

I had been thinking of swatches, embroidery, textiles, and of the chunky, jagged pixels of photos and all this inspired me to create this wallpaper “Pebbles and Rose Petals”.
