That is a fabulous shaft of light. I love going to the same place (usually the park) in different seasons and photographing the changes that occur. It never stays the same.

I like this view much, much better. Mostly because I don’t get the chills looking at it. Can’t wait to see this view in all it’s summer glory in another month.
How wonderful that you are able to look at the beauty of summer and leave the dreary view of winter behind you. It is amazing how a bit of sunshine and colourful foilage can brighten the spirits of anyone. Enjoy this magical time, as winter will be upon us once more :)
Kate , what a special photo – I am curious as to where you were when you took it. From the angle it looks as if you must have been sitting in the top of the next tree!
Wow. Such an amazing comparison. I remember when you took the cold, snow layered photo. Has it been that long? I would love to have a collection of comparison photos that show the different times of years, in various spots in my yard…ooohhh, this could lead to collecting photos of different years even. Now that’s a neat documenting project. Not sure if I’m that organized, but it’s a nice thought.
